Multiple users to 1 account

We currently use Suite CRM in our sales department only but want to cascade to service and parts departments. However we interact with the same companies so need multiple users to be able to see the same account, is this possible?

Hi,
that depends on how you have set up your security groups and roles. It is absolutely possible to set up a group of users that is allowed to see a specific subset of accounts/all accounts.

Note that the assignment mechanism is designed specifically for personal responsability - one and only one person. Several scenarios where different team work is needed can be implemented with Security Groups - letting a group of people see only the records that they should see. So if you don’t want to use the paid add-on, you can try this alternative via Security Groups ad Roles. A bit more complicated, but quite powerful.

@crmspace is correct in what they said however, security groups and roles would also play a massive part in how you setup your system to allow for this functionality to work.
