@deeduckme No that’s not it. You need to generate SMTP Credentials. This not only gives you a username and password, but also applies permissions to use SES SMTP in IAM and assigns a security policy. It will show you the credentials once you create the account.
There’s lots of how to videos on this subject. I recommend you watch one.
Your username is going to look something like this:
Maybe a silly question, but have you considered something simpler to implement like Sendgrid or Postmark or something?
