I understand that SuiteCRM is building its own reports and spot modules. I still believe, however, that KReporter is a great alternative. According to their lead developer they are happy to have KReporter included in the default SuiteCRM install (yes, obviously good marketing for them, KReporter and their CRM alternative SpiceCRM). Given that it takes a few steps to get KReporter up and running, that would simplify things for noobs.
I have been able to get great value out of the free KReporter version for many years and don’t see SuiteCRM’s reports module reaching the same level of utility in the near future. Why not have multiple Reports modules in SuiteCRM by default? Good reporting is paramount for any CRM.
