I’ve used SuiteCRM for about 2.5 years now. I’m using the R (Responsive) theme with minor modifications. Sugar CE (and SuiteCRM) sure ain’t it’s interface design. I had to hack the code so I could get 4 columns of information on the detail pages instead of a measly two. But what I changed wasn’t in the theme.
So I finally got around to upgrading my 7.5.3 yesterday and I took a look at the new SuiteP theme. At first I was like “NICE!” then I went to some of the detail screens and was like OMG everything is ridiculously LARGE. I mean HUGE like for people with really poor eyesight. It almost looks as if it were designed to be used on a mobile phone. But an Enterprise CRM you need lots of data on the screen - business users will use this most commonly on a desktop computer or laptop with large screen.
So on another note, when I upgraded some of my SuiteR theme changes got overwritten so I diff’d the style.css files to copy my changes over. I’ve learned to live with a few quirks in the themes as getting all the CSS right I know is cumbersome so I don’t get on SalesAgility’s case too much about every little thing.
So I decided to just re-customize the latest stock version of SuiteR. So I installed a fresh copy of SuiteCRM, switched to SuiteR, and rebuilt compressed JS files, JS grouping files, and RR clear cache, etc. and it’s totally gone bonkers. Some screens look right, others are totally messed up. This is off a fresh copy!
I see there’s talk of deprecating SuiteR. I hope not as SuiteP is a JOKE
