I have spent a couple of hours using this software and there are so many bugs in it, with loads of PHP errors that renders it completely unusable. Open source is all very well but it still needs testing!

To further what Will has said, you will get php notices and warnings if your php.ini is not set correctly.
Have you turned off warnings and notices in your php.ini and what version of php are you using?
uh - wampserver - Apache 2.2.11 - PHP 5.2.9-2
but when trying to edit a dropdown list I get:a php error on line 1100 in ru_ru.lang.ext.php - not sure why it’s even accessing a russian language module
do you think updating to latest wampserver would be an answer?

Hi Paul,
This is a known issue which will be addressed in the next bug-fix release. For now, disabling the Russian Language Pack in Admin -> Languages will resolve your issue.
