Vat from entered price

I have been asked for the ability to enter a price in to a line item field, the VAT and nett price is then calculated in reverse is an item is entered as £5. Vat is worked out at £0.84 and Nett price is displayed at £4.16

Any idea on if this is possible?

So discovered that this needs to be done in line_items.js

However, if I change anything in that file, the changes are not reflected if after a repair rebuild?
