Varnish Cache

Hey all has anyone got there copy of SuiteCRM working with varnish reverse http cache. Basically my installation of varnish is running with my wordpress install perfectly its dropping all but the login cookies as wordpress is a mess with cookies, now i need to get it working with both wordpress and Suitecrm. I disabled varnish whilst i installed Suitecrm so the system is active now i just need it to allow suitecrm’s cookies any help would be appreciated. Attached is my current varnish config file in txt format

why would varnish make the site faster- as nearly every Sugar page can’t be cached, because the data is different from one minute to the next, as users add calls/contacts/accounts etc.

It’s not Suitecrm that needs caching but my website is running on the same server and port so being able to get but because of this all cookies are stripped but my websites i would prefer to have suite working through varnish as well so I don’t have to open up another port.

So, your whole question is a varnish issue really, has nothing to do with SuiteCRM, or any impact it has on Varnish settings.

SuiteCRM is just ‘any old web server that uses cookies too’ in your situation.

You should put your question not to SuitecRM, but to the varnish forums: https://www.varnish-cache.org/forum

That was probably quite a tricky setup you had to do there ! To not drop all cookies for WP, but allow just one.

And it is those changes you made there, that are preventing any other ‘website with cookies’ to work through Varnish.

So you can get it working, just by changing some of the changes you have already made.

So you could try this step by step process:

i) reset to default varnish config - does SuitecRM now work
ii) replace your special varnish config now change it one line at a time, back to the default -each time checking if SuitecRM now works
iii) once it works: try going forward from there, changing it to cache your wordpress the way you want: and checking SuitecRM still works at each step.

And refer to the varnish cookie page
