V8 API / Create Lead with External UUID?

We’re beginning to integrate our Drupal based site with SuiteCRM and would like to carry over the UUID – initially looking at the Leads module

  1. Is it possible to create a new record with an external UUID ?
    2 If we cannot create a record with an external UUID is is a field that can be updated?

A quick test appears to work!

We have used external UUID in leads and custom modules without any issues.
