using a search filter field in an editview field

Hi all, i think i asked before but didnt really get a clear understanding of this - basically when you use a relate field - it pops up with the relevant database which is great but i want to simplify this a little bit so the field in my editview actually filters the related module like this screenshot - so the “product name” field is actually whats in the “issue” section of this editview module

Can anyone tell me simply how to do this?

There is a auto populate on the relate field on the edit view which auto populates the dropdown as you type giving you relivant results ? is this not what you are asking for here ?

Hi Ian - i also want it to filter whats in the products module :slight_smile: - so you click the arrow and its filtered the items from whats autopopulated in the field
