Hi all.
I am relatively new to the CRM space and would like to implement a CRM for running my IT Professional Services business.
I have settled on SugarCRM CE 6.5.20 and it’s running on a Windows 7 64Bit Pro System.
The install has worked successfully.
Install used was : sugarcrm-CE-6.5.20-windows-installer.exe
I have now discovered that the CE is somewhat limited and have upgrade to SuiteCRM 7.1.6 using the “SugarCE Migration 6.5.x to SuiteCRM 7.1.6.zip”
I performed the upgrade using the Upgrade Wizard process.
This worked successfully and I am happy with the outcome.

I have seen on the SuiteCRM site that there is a Services package “SuiteCRM-7.1.6 Service.zip”

Is this package any different to the features that are installed with “SugarCE Migration 6.5.x to SuiteCRM 7.1.6.zip”.

What additional features / functions will be visible if the “SuiteCRM-7.1.6 Service.zip” package is installed?

How do I go about installing “SuiteCRM-7.1.6 Service.zip” now that I have used “SugarCE Migration 6.5.x to SuiteCRM 7.1.6.zip”
I have tried using the upgrade wizard in an attempt to install the “SuiteCRM-7.1.6 Service.zip” package and comes up with an error uploading the zip file.
I also tried to install the “SuiteCRM-7.1.6 Service.zip” package prior to installing the “SugarCE Migration 6.5.x to SuiteCRM 7.1.6.zip” and also failed.
What am I missing?

I would also like to know how to implement a “customer call logging” service portal for logging their support service calls.
I have seen the joomla addin.
Would this be a place to start.
This would require Joomla to be installed on the web server / apache environment, then the ability to have this plugin talk to joomla and suiteCRM - is this correct?
