Have discovered some strange Umlaut related bug with opportunities description … wanted to try to upgrade to most recent … hoping it is fixed there.
ad step one ) suitecrm:app:upgrade -t SuiteCRM-8.8.0
Well after some chmod it seems i maned the part one of the upgrade process
but now tryoing to finalize with ./console suitecrm:app:upgrade-finalize -t SuiteCRM-8.8.0
I get this see message below …
In PostUpgrade.php line 78:
Failed opening required ‘/home/richard/public/legacy/include/portability/System/Upgrade/…/…/.

Did you reset permissions? Make sure your ownership is correct. Plus, check the config.php file for site_url and hostname.

I haven’t experienced all the new features/fixes yet, but because I have a lot of custom code, the upgrade is not particularly smooth. But it can solve the front-end performance problem, which is important after all. Look at your needs, I still recommend upgrading to v8.8
Right this point is mentioned in the Upgrade page… yet there is no detailed explaination what to do … nor a link to additional information

Did you try to login in your SuiteCRM after you got that error?
Yes … seems that old version is still active

Have already searched before my post … nothing seems to match that issue really … several of theat posts just stranded without solution as it seems… maybe nobody has tried to upgrade according to my version path yet …
