I am new to the platform but we have an issue where the global search does not return any results. The only thing that is returned is a link to a basic search. That does return results once I click it but I think the global search should work. I checked and the cron jobs are indexing .
So I thought I would upgrade to see if that would fix my issue. Once I got to the preflight check and click next I get a blank white screen. I do not see any errors in the log files. I do not see any files that changed but I no longer am able to log into the CRM. I do a restore on the directory to restore all the files and I am able to login again.
Any in site into this issue would be appreciated.

Can you verify your PHP and SuiteCRM are compatible for a new upgrade?
Do you have any error in your PHP and suitecrm.log?
I am having the same issue. In my apache error log it is complaining about not having access to the stuff in extensions/Imap (which doesn’t exist in 7.8, but does in 7.11). No other errors show up…

I was able to get it fixed with some prying… basically had to upgrade to the latest 7.8 release, then update to 7.9, 7.10, and then finally 7.11. I am sure that I probably could have skipped a couple of those… but it worked all the same. Just be sure to set all of your users’ theme to Suite P as the other themes no longer work after 7.10… this is really important though since once they remove the themes you can’t select any of them… and a few pages still refer back to the old theme settings and really mess up the display.
So again… trying to get to 7.8 to 7.11… don’t try and skip versions… just move up the ladder… do your repairs and keep it rolling. And remember to prep every single user by swapping them out to the default theme.
