Updating Dropdown for Case Status Dom - Updates Not Appearing in the Joomla Portal

Hi, How do I push them through please as they are not updating in Joomla. I have read the Advanced Open Portal Guide and this talks about appending to case statuses but this relates to case status as opposed to case type.
