Unable to create selectable TCP socket

Hi,

We have installed the suitecrm. When trying to configure mail accounts in test settings whe receive the message:

Unable to create selectable TCP socket (1145 >= 1024)

How do we fix it?

It would appear from a quick google search that the problem is with PHP and apache (although I have never experienced it)…

A work around, describe here, is to stop apache and start it again to release file handles.

A potential fix is to recompile PHP as described here.

The problem is that the hosting is external and shared.

Have you considered setting up your own virtual server? It is more expensive but there are plenty of providers and you have total control over your environment.

Yes, but for the moment is not an option
