Trouble with email settings

Hi all,

I’m trying to set up email in SuiteCrm but somehow it doesn’t work.

My Settings:

When I click “Send Test Email”, I get this message: Error:The following From address failed:

The log says:

07/29/15 13:27:02 [7056][1][FATAL] SMTP -> ERROR: Failed to connect to server. Code: 10060 Reply: Ein Verbindungsversuch ist fehlgeschlagen, da die Gegenstelle nach einer bestimmten Zeitspanne nicht richtig reagiert hat, oder die hergestellte Verbindung war fehlerhaft, da der verbundene Host nicht reagiert hat.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Only pointer I can give is that with Gmail you can’t use the standard password that you use when logging in to Gmail’s normal web client.

I am using smtp settings from my server to send emails

However, the test email sent successfully but the email interface is not syncing my emails, and looks like certain features are frozen.

Similar problem has already been referenced as issue #554 (IMAP connectivity using SSL) on the SuiteCRM github branch:

Please also note that you need to change your gmail settings. Once you’ve logged in into your gmail account, navigate into My Account -> Connected apps & sites -> allow non-Google apps to sign-in.
