I unchecked Allow user to use system account.
- Now if I login AS A USER and they compose an email why does the system account show in the dropdown? (sending gets rejected if they try, but it shouldn’t even appear there).

I’ve just tested it with 8.9 beta and there, it seems to be working.

There are a few emails and campaign improvements planned. Maybe if you could just wait for the 8.9 final release, that might solve things directly.
Woah, that really looks different. But I’m not talking about campaigns. I’m talking about emails / compose emails.
I’m not saying email is not working, what I am saying is that USERS can see the system email account in the dropdown where the outbound email account is selected. They are not permitted to use that account as it is unchecked in admin option and they are unable to send emails from that account, which is correct as they are not authorized to use it. It just shouldn’t appear for them at all. Please confirm that is fixed in 8.9
Yes, as per my screenshots it looks as if the issues have been resolved in 8.9.
I’ve tried to setup the system / group / personal account as well and the standard user can only see the own account now.
