SuiteCRM OnDemand - some questions before I sign up for this paid service

We are looking to replace salesforce, ConstantContact and kayako support system with SuiteCRM on demand as a paid service. Before committing myself, I would like to understand :

  • is the basic functionality comparable to these 3 products - not looking for anything fancy, just basic sales, marketing & support (ticket logging, resolution etc.)
  • is there a limit on the data storage or number of records I can store - with the other products I got hit with astronomical additional charges once we went over 20,000 customer/contact records
  • can I import all my data from excel or csv files

There is basic Campaign functionality, but there are also Constant Contact integrations which can be purchased if required.

There is no limit to the number of records that can be stored, but there are data storage limits which can be seen, along with more information here.

Yes, you can import data via CSV’s but may need to split these up dependent on the volume of records.

What I can’t figure out is what 10GB of storage space equates to in terms of records - we have about 30,000 contact records (name, address, email, phone etc.).
Our volumes of support tickets is pretty low and we would not bring much historical data.

We will let you know if your limits are nearing and can suggest solutions.

30,000 contact records should only be a few hundred MB at most, and will certainly not be 10GB.
