Is there a different upgrade procedure? Running my standard upgrade script and it’s deleting the bin folder, which prevents the upgrade from completing when going from 8.8.0 to 8.8.1.

Are you using a different / a custom developed script?
Why not the standard upgrade process?

I made a script that runs the standard upgrade process, plus does a backup of everything prior and checks and resets file permissions after the upgrade.

That sounds good. Why would you delete the bin folder though?

I didn’t, the upgrade process did, along with other older legacy files. That’s the confusion.

Worked smoothly, thanks

That’s during the deletion / extraction process or similar?
If you execute the upgrade process as user, it’s not possible to notice a missing file / deletion or replacement - if you don’t look for it at the right time.
Could you just add some 30 idle seconds or similar to your script and mimic the human process more?

I got this message during upgrading from the 8.8

It got updated successfully in less than a minute though.

While I appreciate this update, I am a bit confused since 8.9 is also expected and day now?

Yes, these versions have security & some major bug fixes. They will release 8.9 after this.

did the update, it appears to work nicely (and even resolved some of my older issues)

now, I see that oauth2 was most of this update, if we could only get someone to write us a tutorial on how to connect to google workspace (microsoft is already covered with a template)

Amen to that. I couldn’t agree more
