I am running SuiteCRM 7.8.31 on a server with MariaDB 10.1 as the backend and php 7.0. I would like to separately install the latest release of SuiteCRM 8.x which seem to require MariaDB 10.2-10.6 and php 7.3+.
While it is possible to run multiple php versions in parallell (which I am already doing for other webapps), I would like to know if I can upgrade the MariaDB backend for the SuiteCRM 7.8.31 installation to 10.2 - 10.6 and thus have the same database backend for the otherwise separate and completely different installations?
