SuiteCRM 7.5 PHP 7 Compatibility

Hello

Did anyone tried to run/install SuiteCRM 7.5 with PHP 7?

Vladimir

Same here - would like to know if anyone is running SuiteCRM ver 7.5 on PHP 7? My webhost FastComet allows me to switch to PHP 7 in cpanel on shared hosting and also would like to know if it’s safe to do so?

Thanks,
Ed

I plan to try it out in couple of weeks, will post results here on forum.

Found post were Will said that Suitecrm ver 7.4+ will be compatible with PHP 5.6 and PHP 7 but that’s all I found. Would like to hear from them now on this.

I’m just getting started and I installed SuiteCRM 7.5 with PHP 7 before looking for compatibility. I can’t say for sure that my issues are compatibility issues, but I can say that while my PHP install seems to be working fine, SuiteCRM is consistently having PHP issues.

Between every 1-20 or so clicks, I get thrown to a HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error saying that The FastCGI process exited unexpectedly. I’ve been searching for solutions, but no luck so far. I can refresh and it works, which seems pretty odd.

After turning display_errors = On in PHP.ini, I now see three errors "
Notice: Array to string conversion in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\crm\SuiteCRM\data\SugarBean.php on line 2349" on a bunch of pages and I see “Notice: Array to string conversion in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\crm\SuiteCRM\data\SugarBean.php on line 3382” on the home page and some others.

I’m going to try and remove PHP 7 and see if that fixes the problem.

Took the plunge and selected PHP 7 in our cpanel. First thing I noticed is SuiteCRM and all of our WordPress sites are a lot quicker loading and running. Will report any problems as I go along.

Thanks guys!

Yes - PHP7 should bring us quite considerable performance improvements: http://www.lornajane.net/posts/2015/php-7-benchmarks
