SuiteCRM 7.13.1 Task

Hello,

since upgrade from 7.13.0 to 7.13.1 we have an issue with tasks.

When you create an new Task and fill an date to “Due Date:” it´s not safed anymore.

If you edit now the field in this view → it works…

looks like an bug in 7.13.1 ? Any ideas, known and fixed in next release?

And do you think this Problem will be fixed? Is there any way to report it as an Bug?

The “standard procedure” would be for you to go into the live demo and try it there, and then report it on Github if appropriate.

Thank you very much for pointing this out. I tried it right away and “unfortunately” it works here… so the error is probably in our environment. Unfortunately, it’s an environment that has gone from 7.10.x to 7.13.1 over the last few years and all the updates. Presumably the error lies somewhere along the way…

Any Idea to this Problem? Searching in de Forum I found that this is not an unknown Problem. But should be fixed in “ForActivities.php” in modules Tasks.

But I got this errors in logfile:

I’m not sure those errors are related, and I’m not sure you need to worry about them, if all else works fine.

Regarding your original issue, could it be a matter of date/time formats? If you type the date in a standard American format, does it get saved?

thank you for the hint. But it´s not possible to put an date in special date format → you choose in an date popup menu. If you trie it by hand - it says “Invalid value: Due on”

I play a little bit around - running Suitecrm with PHP 7.x it works → PHP 8.0.x the Problem occurs…

Do you have an IDE set up with XDebug so you can step through the code?

no, I am not a developer, unfortunately. But I do work in IT. I will see if I can find someone who can do this. Is there a way to get the fixed code back to the community - if it is solved?
