How can I customize horizontal subpanel groupings for Suite R theme?

Can you be a little more specific on what you are trying to achieve?

I’d like to:

  • add a new subpanel group
  • add three subpanels to this group
  • move this group to second place (i.e. second from left)

This is quite interesting as well, but doesn’t address subpanel tabs/groups.
