Suite P Alignment & Styling

Hi Chaps,

The SuiteP theme is a great step forward but I do echo the “too much whitespace” opinions seen elsewhere on the forum. I can live with that (and try to customise it) but there are some alignment issues and general unfinished bits.

So the question: Looking at the attached, can anyone advise if this is a problem with the environment or a problem with the theme itself? Screenshots on Chrome 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit).

I will get my front end Dev to take a look but want to make sure we’re starting at the right point.

davidsavage,

Running the same 64-bit version of Chrome (58.0.3029.110) here, and I cannot replicate the issue shown in your screenshots.

My advice is all speculative, but I would suggest checking to see if an chrome extension is fiddling with the code beneath perhaps? It's a long-shot to be sure.

Turn Ad Block off on your domain if it's running.

Switch to another theme, then go to System Settings and turn on developer mode (this will disable the cache). Re-enable SuiteP, and see what you get.

A faster option may just be to clear the cache, and visit your instance in a Chrome Private browsing session (While in Chrome press CTRL + SHIFT + N)

SuiteP needs some work, but it is indeed far better than any other options out there at the moment. I've done my best to correct issues that I can't live with and even started moving-forward with some core customizations in my free time. Subbing out the icons for modules and sub-panels with fontwesome, and likely finding a way to incorporate permanent fontawesome picks and changes for each somewhere in Studio.

It's all Bootstrapped, so it should be super easy to work with since they went the way of SASS rather than plain ole css.

If anything ever comes of it, I'll share it in the forum.

Thanks,
Jack

Hi Jack,

It does look like the cache was the culprit on the quote edit/create view. I should have thought of that having read other forum posts.

I think we will have to look at reducing the white space/padding and fixing the panel nav icons for a start. Not sure if this is looked at on the Current RC.

In other news, if we have spare time we will add in a profit calculator for quotes which in my opinion has been overlooked for quite a while. If it works we will release it.

Thanks for the reply Jack
