Suite 8.x to Suite 7.x Downgrade

Hi All,

One of my clients is interested in downgrading their Suite8 instance to Suite7 due to the lack of support for suite 7 plugins in suite8.

I’m not asking for any help or assistance with this but thought it would be a good place to put anything I learn about the process.

I think If you’re downgrading to the 7.14 then PHP will remain same as 8.1 or 8.2

You need to take entire database backup.

Install SuiteCRM 7.14 on another server or machine and import your database. Test your 7.14 CRM and once you’re confident then you can make it as production server and shutdown your 8.x CRM.
