Suggestions for suitable process for target lists

Hey fellow suite users,

I am have spent some time trying to work out the most logical way to utilise the campaign module to suit the business that we run.

We currently have to use an older version of dynamics Nav for our invoicing and order generation (gotta use it, no wiggle room there sadly) that is hosted by our franchisor. I’d like to have the flexibility to use the email marketing to prospect and remind influencers to place orders for the coming week. In an ideal world they would wait until they see my email and then all place their orders at once…however, due to not having access to cya nice to retrieve real time data, there are instances where people who might have been in the target list have already placed their order for the coming week. What I’d like to be able to do is temporarily remove that person from a target list as they have already placed their order until the next scheduled order prompt.

My question is, is anyone else doing something similar and how did you overcome that obstacle? Alternatively, does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might accomplish something similar to that?

Hello,

  1. Create a new Target List excluding the contacts who has placed the order.
  2. Opt out the contact from receiving the email till the campaign is sent. Make sure to Opt In back for next week’s email reminder.
  3. The easiest option, Add content in email “Ignore the email if the order is placed”
  4. Create Weekly Target List add the contacts in it, And remove those who have already placed the order.

Hi, you could add a suppression list for those contacts that have ordered to your e-mail campaign and then send the reminder e-mails.

Make sure to update/recreate the suppression list each week.
