SugarCRM to SuiteCRM Upgrade Process

Hi,

we are planning to upgrade sugarCRM to suiteCRM by using the below packages.

SugarCE Migration 6.x to Suite 7.6.6.zip
SuiteCRM-Upgrade-7.6.x-to-7.8.3.zip

we have successfully done in UAT environment with 750MB data and it took 2 hrs to complete whole process but here major concern is [color=#ff0000]Production DB size is 21GB[/color] and how much time it will take to complete the upgrade process and also anybody faced any problems by doing this kind of activity.

There is silent upgrade patches also, through upgrade wizard, suiteCRM will handle [color=#ff0044]21GB of data[/color]?

please help me with above concerns.

There’s no way to know except trying, because you might hit PHP problems with memory_limit or max_execution_size.

But maybe you could start by having a look at those 21GB. Sometimes there is a lot of stuff to clean up from old databases, so if you could do it before the upgrade, better.

  1. Check if your “Prune database” Scheduler job is running without errors (see in Admin/Schedulers)

  2. And here’s a fancy query to get a view of your database sizes:
