Sugar CRM to Suite CRM

Hello everyone,

I’m new here in the suitecrm world, and i would like to change from sugarcrm.
I have only one problem. Im not sure how to import my modules from sugarcrm.
I can not export my modules from module builder, because we lost most of the packages, I only have the studio export customization.

Do you have any idea how to migrate my modules ?

Best regards,
David Puskas

You should use the dedicated SugarCRM to SuiteCRM upgrade package, it should take care of everything for you.

Are you using SugarCRM CE? Which version?

You’ll have to do the upgrade in steps. It’s better to prepare the upgrade in a clone of your production system, checking each step as you go, and only try it on the production server when you’re sure about your process.

Thank you for your answer!

I would like to migrate from SugarCRM Enterprise, 7.9.4.0 is it possible?
Are there any documentation about the migration process?

Thanks,
David

There is a section here about upgrading from SugarCRM CE 6.5

https://docs.suitecrm.com/admin/installation-guide/upgrading/

But if you’re coming from Enterprise 7.9.4 you won’t be able to use any specialized script, sorry. It’s a newer version, very changed after we forked, and has modules that don’t exist in SuiteCRM, and many code changes.

So you’re back into installing a clean SuiteCRM 7.10.7 and looking for a custom data migration, module-by-module. It should be straight-forward for most of the essential modules, but it has to be considered step by step.

Do you have a lot of data? Is it very complex, do you use a lot of modules? Do you have many custom modules and fields? Screen customizations?

If you want to have somebody from SalesAgility contact you about hiring this migration project from SalesAgility, let me know.

But if not, that’s ok, I’ll keep answering your questions here.
