When I tried to send an email get this error: " Error Sending Email. Please contact your administrator for assistance."
and Send test email :

you’ll find tons of info and hints.
It could be totally unrelated to SuiteCRM.
What I like to do in terms of SMTP / outgoing email:
Install Thunderbird locally and setup the SMTP there.
If it works on TB and not on SuiteCRM, it’s probably a webserver issue.
More often than not, it just works fine on both systems.
