Selecting related account on email import does not work

I’m testing a Univention App from here. While trying to test email integration I run into trouble importing emails and associating them to accounts (simple email integration is a must here). I successfully configured incoming email box and can see emails there. Then I’d like to import them (after filtering) and associate with specific account. When I press “Import” I see extra “Save” button not mentioned in docs. There’s a “Related To” field which I can fill. I choose “Account” and specify some account. Then:

  1. If I press “Save”, I see very strange page, but email is not imported.
  2. If I press “OK”, I’m asked if I want to leave the page:
    2.1) If I decline, again, email does not get imported.
    2.2) If I agree, email gets imported. BUT, it’s not associated with my chosen account.

I’d like all emails to specific domains to be associated with corresponding accounts. I can do some selection using mailbox filtering rules, but without bulk import (preferably automatic) with correct auto-association nothing will work. How can I make it work correctly?

Thank you for your reply. I presumed you know which version is currently available on your download page, but here you are (according to the person who installed it):

  • Version 7.9.7
  • Sugar Version 6.5.25 (Build 344)

I’ll post logs later this days since I don’t currently have ssh access to the VM. As I said, it is a Univention App – I thought it’s easier to test this way.

Concerning logs. I tried to reproduce the problem today once again so as to create fresh log entries. However:

Hi, The most recent version on our site is 7.8.18, 7.9.17, and 7.10.4, according to which branch you’re on. So you really need to inform me.

If you are really at 7.9.7, I advise that you upgrade to the latest in your branch. But maybe that’s just a typo.

You can (and should) fix the timezone error by editing your CLI php.ini.

Type this at the command line to find out where it is:

php -i | grep php.ini

Set date.timezone in that file, and restart web server.

The PHP notices are typically safe to ignore.

It is indeed 7.9.7. Apparently, the VM (Univention App) on the download page is not good for testing (or anything). We will install latest version manually, but it might take time.
