Search with Name that has characters with an accent not returning any results, but the record is created and exists

I am trying to use the Quick Filter and the name of a student to find a record but any student name that contains a character with an accent ( "long accent.” It’s also known in linguistic circles as an “acute accent.” Most Irish speakers and learners simply refer to it as a “fada.” The fada is a right-slanting line placed over a vowel (as in the í in síneadh) is returning no records, I know the record exists. The record is a submodule of a student record - payment record, even when I search for the student record the system has difficulty returning the student record and it takes much longer to return the results when the name contains a character with an accent. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue, I live in Ireland and the accent is a regular part of the language. Thanks Ken

I think this maybe a wider spread issue. There is a ticket open but specific to the global search but it could be all interlink. I’ll reference it here so it can also be looked at as a whole.

Hello
I have the same problem when I search in a related field or in a relationship field
If I look for a client in the quote for example
If it contains an accent, it does not perform the search.
The same thing happens in the popup and when I delete an accented character it first removes the accent, I have to press delete twice to remove the character.
does this have a solution?
I was reading the link that was shared from Github forum but even the version is different
I am on version 7.10.36
Thank you
