It would be nice to add or to get inspiration from the following suggestions for Quotes and Contracts:
. Add the possibility to have pages (at least the first, but possibly more) with different layouts in the created PDF documents
For example a first page, then various other pages with various clauses, then a closing page. The layout may be completely different. For example the First page may be a cover page with the prospect logo and a title and not have page numbers nor the header or the footer, while the remaining pages may have header and footer and may be completely different, etc…)
. Have the possibility to create one or more indexes (table of contents) with different styles (eg: just a list, or a list with page numbers, or including second level of paragraphs - in the whole or in part of the document -, etc…)
. Being able to manage various contact clauses, possibly in different versions
For example: non competition, no-soliciting clause, exclusivity clause, project description, client description, etc… Each of these may have different versions so one would have to a. decide whether to include a clause and, b. once decided, pick which version of the clause.
. Have the possibility to manage some variables within clauses. For example the CV of a Consultant, selected from one of different versions, or personalise the expenses clause (eg: cost per km, or daily allowance, fixed amount for meals, etc…)
The current functionnality is indeed useful but extremely limited for companies that are used to send complex quotes complete of all the relevant information that is necessary to finalise both a quote and a contract.
The way it is now is almost unuseable for us and all of our clients.
