Question regarding mass updates/adding tracking notes

So I want to print labels from a target list and I want a short note to be in the history for each target, but I don’t see a way to mass add notes.

How are, say postcard mailing, tracked or noted?

If you set up a PDF Template you can then use the “Generate Letter” option, which is available as a mass operation.

This will produce a single PDF that has a page for every selected contact; you can print it (if you could get a way to format it to fit the labels exactly, that would be great - but I don’t think it will be easy to do…).

Moreover, you will get a single-page PDF attached to the History of each contact, which is what you wanted, if I understand correctly.

That option seems to be available for leads, but not targets?? I want to mail postcards to a target list, but there is no generate letter option that I can see.

Maybe what you’re looking for doesn’t exist…

For targets, I would say the normal thing to do would be to simply launch a campaign. There is a type of campaign which is “campaign without email”, it seems to be meant for this kind of thing, a “physical-world” campaign that isn’t sent through the CRM system.

However, these campaigns don’t seem to be added to the Target’s “Campaign log”, which could serve as the history you need.

Maybe this needs to be added, or you can try to work around it… I didn’t try this idea, but if you could make an email campaign, and send it, but through a non-working email account, then no email would actually be sent, but you would still get the campaign added to the Target’s “Campaign log”.

Maybe, but wouldn’t that be very odd - to have a marketing tool that doesn’t have any direct mail ability? This seems like it would be a basic function.

Im not a coder and I find the help for this software sparse at best, but I will try to figure out a work around and let you know. In the meantime if you, or anyone else, have any ideas im all ears. I can’t imagine that I’m the only one trying to do this.
I appreciate your help, thank you.
