Please forgive me for my ignorance, I’m new to SuiteCRM and Sugar. We are working to implement our sales and marketing process with SuiteCRM.
We are a custom machine automation company making machines and assembly lines for manufacturers. We have a similar order cycle as described by SalesAgility https://suitecrm.com/services/customisation
We have leads that convert to Opportunities, the field salesperson then qualifies and gathers requirements including due date for the quote/proposal, we have defined standard information sets that must be filled out for specific standard/non-standard applications/products. Once this data is collected, we want to initiate a bid-no bid process for non-standard applications. For standard and bid approved non-standard opportunities we want to initiate a proposal process whereby the proposal department manager can assign the proposal to an applications engineer who will prepare the proposal/quotation. We want the applications engineering manager, the outside salesperson and sales manager to be able to monitor the progress and for the system to facilitate communications of customer option consideration required for that process. Often the customer reviews a proposal and wants to change the scope and requests a proposal revision. This can happen many times during the sales process with our customers.
How should we implement this in SuiteCRM? should we develop a new module? Should we use projects and tasks? Does anyone know of an existing robust add on that would support this?
