Project Templates - How do they work?

Hi there

I have looked on SuiteCRM how to Wiki and here but can’t seem to find any instructions on how to use the new Projects module as a whole with the Resource Chart and Gantt Charts

This thread was really to ask how the Project Template works?

I have walked through it but can’t seem to get new project tasks on a project linked to a template

I create a Project Template with Task Templates inside (With Duration, descriptions and predecessors)

I then create a new Project and link it to the Project Template

No Project Tasks are created?

Is there anymore to the process that I am missing here?

  1. You create your Project template
  2. You then add tasks to the project template via the subpanel
  3. You go to the Project template menu and hit the Create project button.
  4. A pop-up will then appear and ask you for your new projects name and start date.
  5. Once you enter those and click ‘Create Project’ and you are then taken directly to the newly created project where you will see all the project details and tasks have been ported across from the template.
