We (jobvector) are also interested in the functionality to export/import project data as xml format compatible with ms project and other project management tools, are there any plans to implement such a feature? or code that we could build onto it?

Just an update on progress usage here.

I have got Project Templates set up nicely, and they build the Projects very well. Resource Chart is good, and very useful. The Gantt chart looks good and works well. So far I have managed to invoke one Bug in the Gantt chart, but could not replicate it, so I issued no Bug Report.

Tip: I have been using the Ctl + and Ctl - to zoom in and out of the Gantt, using the browsers zoom functions. This has also enabled me to zoom / shrink to correct size and then print, including print to PDF.
