Problem connecting to the database after upgrade from 7.2 to 7.3

First of all, great product – very flexible. I’m using a single installation simultaneously for a service-based sales and as a private school parental portal.

However, when I upgraded from 7.2 to 7.3 I noted a significant uptick in instances where the server “cannot connect to the database.” Had virtually no problems with this in 7.2, but frequent problems with it in 7.3. Thus far I have not seen any discussions relating to this in the forums, but I would certainly appreciate your comments and insights.

I’ve repeatedly made sure the permissions are correct and have run many quick repairs, so I’m thinking neither of these “typical” problems are problem.

What is the exact error that is being reported, also is it being recorded in the log and could you post that? We had a database connection issue a while back but it ended up being an issue with our server so not sure how much help I will be.

Greetings, Sam! Thanks for the quick reply. I held off in reply because I wanted to see how things went with the 7.3.1 update. Apparently the module builder bug in 7.3.0 (which I discovered by deploying a custom module) buggered up my Suite instance quite thoroughly. The dropped database issues have been largely cleared up with the upgrade patch.
