Portuguese pt-PT translation

Hi,
I’m currently under revision of the language pack for Portuguese (Portugal) pt-PT

I started with a previous sugarCRM language pack and then revising and improving translations.
It works under my computer, installations goes fine.
In the next days (before new year’s eve) I plan to release it as a zip file.

Note: I’m looking for a way to get contributions from other translators using a translation platform as www.Transifex.com (but not all files are easily readable by that tool!)

Hi there,

We would advise creating a pull request on the SuiteCRM GitHub repository so that others can contribute.

We aim to get a translation tool in place in the near future.

GitHub is not the way to translate any software at all. It works for code, not for translation collaboration and control.
We need an online place/tool to have a master language as a reference and then languages teams collaborating on the same online resources, not on local files that eventually will be uploaded to Github!
I tried Transifex but the actual language format (mixed type) is a challenge for some files! Will look into other platforms too!

I realise that, but currently any translations are contributed to GitHub.

We will investigate open source tools for translations.

I just want to say that I am very interested in this Portuguese (pt-pt) translation.

I’m trying to build a prototype and write a proposal for implementing SuiteCRM in a portuguese non-profit organization. This is taking all my available time, so I can’t contribute to the translation myself, but If the project goes ahead I might contribute, at least by revising.

Nice initiative, and I like the Transifex site. Thank you.

pt-PT is 85%done and it covers almost every visible words. Some words needs consistence and others to be revised as some part of translation was created to Sugar and with some words from brasil and others translated before the “acordo ortográfico”.

Note: remember that a translation needs to be neutral, so some words needs to work for all usages and scenarios.
