I have set up the outgoing email details and when I send the test email it does not give me an error, but the test email does not reach it’s destination.
Have you set up DKIM and SPF for your sending domain?
No I haven’t, have no idea how to do that.
This is my first time working with this kind of installation, so I’m very green.
My guess is suitecrm is sending your email just fine but you’re not receiving it because your mail server isn’t receiving it as its seen as spam.
What email are you using also what is your email domain vs what domain is the sender from SuiteCRM
