Outbound email does not work with latst microsoft office 365 email

Hi There;

We are using SuiteCRM Version 7.13.2
Sugar Version 6.5.25 (Build 344).

  1. We are unable to upgrade to latest version 8.
  2. The outbound email can not be linked with microsoft office 365. wonder if it is my configuration problem or the problem with this version.
  3. please indicate if latest version 8’s outbound email also has oAuth build in and support microsoft office 365 email.

The same is the case for me, I’m also using 7.13.0 and configured Microsoft office email as an inbound email and it’s working fine.

But not able to send an email nor able to configure outbound email. Can anyone help?

How did you get Suite to connect to 365? I have been trying for days now.

There’s lots of threads on here about setting up O365. I’ve done a bunch and it does work. What part of procedure are you gettting stuck at?

Hi and than you for the reply. I have both the inbound and outbound email working with MS365 however I am unable to get the bound email working. Every time I try I get this error:

Bounce

The error os clear and I have ensured I have both the Connection and mailbox type matching without success. I have tried both group for both and personal for both.

Thats a new one can you share a screenshot of your settings (with confidential stuff blurred out). Also when you say bound email, do you mean bounce email?

So, if we add server and other details, will it work with SuiteCRM?

@rsp unfortunatly I don’t I don’t have an Azure envrionment myself so I can’t just shoot a video or take screen shots. I have notes with shots of client installs but can’t share those.

@pstevens sorry for misunderstanding. I do not want guideline with Azure environment.

I just want to know, can we use o365 email address in the email settings (outbound email) in the SuiteCRM 7.x? Do we have any doc available for it?

I’m not sure. You used to have to create an app password and allow outbound SMTP connections, but I’m thinking thats no longer allowed by Azure and outbound now requires Oauth. I haven’t done one in a while so I’m not current on it.
