Opportunity History Tab

I’m just noticing, if I add a contact to an Opportunity, all communication with that contact is added to the History tab in the Opportunity, not just specifically communication about the Opportunity. Is this something new? Or have I just not noticed before? I seem to remember in the past you had to specifically related the activity to the Opportunity for it to show up. However on the contact side, all would show up even if the contact wasn’t the parent, if they were associated to the mail as sender or recipient. That’s my recolection of how this worked.

Am I remembering wrong or has something recently changed?

I’m not able to replicate this here with the demo data.

If I add Kelley Abramson with one related email to the Air Safety Inc - 500 units opportunity, I don’t see the existing email in the Opp history.

But if I link the Opp manually in the email subpanel:

Then I can see the email in the Opp history.

For you, it happens with all emails and out of the box?
Are you using the demo data as well?

Thanks Bastian, I wonder if its a SuiteCRM 7 issue. I’ll have to do some more testing myself.
