I am setting up suitecrm using mamp. I want to know if there’s a way to open the CRM without turning on the mamp web root?

Unlikely as Suite needs Apache and PHP to handle most things, most likely if you where to hit the index.php without it running you would get an error.
Why would you be aiming to do this?
