Not sure how to setup my sales flow - should I create Lead > Opp > Acct or just go straight to Acct?

I wanted to ask how everyone else has their instance of SuiteCRM setup. I don’t really see much of a benefit in using Leads & Opportunities. Our sales process is fairly short and 100% inbound. We don’t do any outbound campaigns.

Should I just get rid of the Leads & Opportunities and go straight to the Accounts for any new prospects that come in? I figure once I’ve got the account record, I can label it with a status - “Prospect” “Customer” “Cold Lead” “Lost Lead” or “Former Customer”?

The other aspect of this is SuiteCRM seems to have some bugs (again, maybe I don’t have it setup right), but it seems like whenever I click the Create button to add something like a Contact, it’s hit or miss - in this case, it worked when I created a task under Activities and failed when i tried to create a contact:

Are there some big benefits I haven’t recognized yet since I’m still fairly new to SuiteCRM? We’re considering doing some autodrip type email campaigns in the future…so maybe the leads & opps categories make more sense for something like that?

Yes, You can direct Convert Lead into Contact, Account, Opportunity, Notes, Call, Meeting & Tasks.
Is it possible for you to share your CRM Credentials & File Level Access of FTP details where you hosted your CRM to check Contacts Subpanel issue?

We have kept Leads and Accounts but removed Opportunities. Leads are followed up with calls and meetings, once closed, we convert them to Accounts.

Leads are managed by a sales team, which accounts are handled by account managers
