New smooth intuitive and modern UI with sidepanels instead of subpanels

I’d like
1 a more smooth, intuitive, mondern looking interface
2 replace/change the subpanels to sidepanels
It irritates me to scroll down

This new UI should be part of the new SuiteCRM.

Hi Grt,

A new UI is on the roadmap and is planned for future releases.

Thanks,

Will.

Near future ?

Hi Grt,

I cannot give a release date but the new UI is one of our main planned enhancements to SuiteCRM.

Thanks,

Will.

Last suggestions :

  • make UI intuitive
  • use text and icons + user picture for desktop
  • use icons for mobile
  • get rid of subpanels and replace them by sidepanels as vtiger did - total immediate view in 1 screen
  • think mobile - efficient mobile use necessary

Hi Grt,

Thanks. I will take all of these into consideration when working on the new theme, and also do some designs etc.

On the sub-panels, these are hard to do as sidebars as some clients have 10, 20 sub-panels and some can all have data, making looking at this in a sidebar unfeasible.

Thank you for your thoughts as always, it’s good to hear from the community on how to improve the CRM.

Thanks,

Will.

I understand the fact that people use subpanels, but sidepanels are way more efficient for direct search and view and optimize your workspeed.
Try to foresee the possibility in the Studio, as you do for the panels, where you can choose panelview or tab.
Just the same - choice between sub or sidepanel view
