New manual account does not work

New Suite tester. This is my first post here.
I created a new account under Admin } User Mgmt } new (#/users/index)
entered the password manually under the password tab. When I paste that same UID+password in a new private window the credentials don’t work.

I noticed under root MySQL the user_hash field is empty for this user under USERS table. What is this? Is this the added salt for the password? Where is the password stored?

It seems the password has not been saved for that user. The password gets saved in the user_hash field as you have said.
