New field type: suggested and not allowing duplicate

Hi all,

I have been trying to find a way to get any custom field to be unique, i.e., not allowing duplicates.

Haven’t seen a clear solution, so I’m thinking about create a new field type based on the relate field that gives suggestions as you type data at the form and does not allow to enter duplicates.

If anyone has a better way, pls tell me :slight_smile:

You can try this paid addon https://store.suitecrm.com/addons/duplicate-detector and since it is in the store, I don’t think that we will ever see it pushed in the open source of SuiteCRM
