New customers - lit up

Hi everyone,
I am in a beginning phase of my little company, and wish to use SutieCRM as my tool for sales and marketing.
My job is pretty much calling people, and following up, and that is (until my needs expand) what i need the system for.

To make it easier to see what is what, i would love to have a function, that lights all new clients(one’s without activities or contact persons), with a green line.
When i browse my customer list, i must know which one’s haven’t been contacted yet (there is no contact person and activity)

Do you have any suggestions on where to start ? Would it be something i would need to program from the bottom, or has someone made this script before ?

How about Just adding a field to an account saying if you have contacted them Y or N default it to N and add it to the list view, and search page… That way unless you’ve gone in to the contact and changed it to Y they are N and so you know. So just sort the list by that flag?
