New Created Module Relationships Not Functioning Correctly

SuiteCRM Version 7.10.5

  • New basic module without relationships created and loaded via module loader
  • A one to many relationship created between Accounts and New Module
  • A New Module Record is created.
  • An Account is selected and the New Module Record is saved
  • The selected Account is not present anymore.

Alternatively:

  • An Account is viewed
  • Under the New Module sub panel a create New Module Record is selected and a New Module Record is created.
  • Under the New Module list view the New Module Record is selected.
  • The New Module Record now shows the selected Account.

Expected Behavior

  • That an account can be selected and saved when creating or editing a New Module Record under the New Module create/edit view.

Please someone advise.

Have you done a Quick Repair and Rebuild? Make sure you scroll to the bottom and press the button to sync vardefs, if one appears there.

Also try Admin / Repair / Repair Relationships

Yes, I have run repair & rebuild and also run rebuild relationships.

I have created a different module as well and it has the same problem.

Our old SugarCE version works fine.

At the time of those broken behaviours, what do you get in your logs?

I have attached the diagnostics file that can be downloaded from the admin section.

I donā€™t have time to look at those files now, it would be helpful if you at least attempted that analysis and just posted the relevant stuff (fatal errors, things happening at the time of showing the screen - you can tell when it was, I canā€™t).

Iā€™m sorry for not checking the files, but I really donā€™t know where to look or what to look for.

I have now scanned the suitecrm.log file for the word ā€œerrorā€ and ā€œfailedā€ and have found the following line items that contain these words:

Messages labeled [DEBUG] are usually safe to ignore. Focus on [ERROR] with capitals and [FATAL].

Try to get your web server log: php_errors.log or whatever itā€™s called. Frequently thatā€™s where the answers are.

I am worried about your ā€œversionsā€ table FATAL error. Is this an upgraded version, I suppose? Did the upgrade complete without errors? From which version? You might want to check also upgradeWizard.log.

Iā€™d never seen those other warnings ā€œ[WARN] Pop error level. Try to remove the error_reporting() function from your code.ā€. And I have seen a lot :slight_smile:

Have you put any error_reporting() function in your code? Do you have code customizations?

A SuiteCRM 7.9.x backup was reinstated - the ā€œfatalā€ errors are also present in this versionā€™s log.

The 7.9.x version was upgraded to 7.10.6. The relationship problem disappears as best I can tell. The error, failed and fatal messages appear to be much the same.

All upgrades have in the past completed successfully.

There has been no error_reporting function added to the code and there has been no code customization.

Unfortunately we are not programmers and can do little to assist other than to follow instructions.
