Need some suggestions for choosing the cloud platform

Hi everyone!

Sorry to use an ambiguous title, I need some advice to choose a cloud server and database.
I main database and literally know nothing about CRM and PHP. I am completely noob.
After searching for several hours by Google, I am still confused to choose the cloud platform.
My demand is to build a pure internal CRM system for around 30 users, they are employees of the company and the system is used to record the information of employees’ clients.
The database will be a little complex, but I think SuiteCRM can hold the situation.
I found there so many 3rd party software like Cpanel and Bitnami support the CRM, meanwhile, there are also some SuiteCRM hosting product with a tempting price, much cheaper than the SuiteCRM OnDemand.
Are these third-party product reliable?
I am familiar with AWS, can I use S3 and EC2 to keep the CRM system? It seems like a little hard.
If I want to use this software well, do I need to learn some PHP?

Best Regards

Hello @keysu

From my point of view, if you do not have technical skills it would be best to choose a hosted / managed formula. Installing SuiteCRM in an AWS ecosystem (or any other suitable cloud provider) is not very difficult but you need to at least understand the basics of each technical layer.
Once you have your instance up and running, you do not require specific php / technical skills to configure / set it to your needs, unless you need advanced customization (you’re ok if you want to adapt the layout or create new fields / objects, but if you need to call an external API, yes you will need to do some code).

Regarding the third party provider you mention, I do not know their hosting offers. Bitnami is well known and reliable… Maybe it would be best to choose a hosting offer not so far from you with clear and understandable conditions. If you need advanced customization (with new custom coding) make sure your provider allows it.

Hope this help,
Thomas
