Multiple Business Units / Departments

Hi,

I’m testing out SuiteCRM for customer, they run multiple radio broadcast stations, and each station acts as a revenue channel for their business.

Is it possible to configure SuiteCRM to support multiple “business units or departments (the radio stations)” and be able to report on a per “business unit or department” level, as well as a global level across all business units?

Yes, you’d want to look at using security groups and roles.

You would be best having a security group per station, and then have roles within those stations for each department of said station. Workflows or the built-in settings on applying these roles to records could be used to make the control simple. For the top level, you can choose to add them to all roles or to none and they will be able to see the records they need :+1:
