So I’ve noticed that the multi-select interface requires shift-clicking an item in order to enter it in. Is there a better way to accomplish this? I’ve looked at some of the threads on turning multi-select into checkboxes and may go that route but for now just want the basic functionality.
Hey,
Are you still having issues with this?
Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean 100%,
Are you saying that you need to Shift-Click items in a Multiselect to be able to select multiple values?
ie:
If so, im not sure what could be changed, as I’d imagine its just down to how browsers handle these types of fields
Although, I don’t have any issues with clicking / clicking&drag / ctrl+clicking when selecting items in these field types
Which browser are you using by chance?
The issue is that I would rather just avoid having to shift-click altogether and just be able to make multiple selections with the mouse only. I’m currently using chrome. I was looking into turning multi-select into checkboxes. Do you have any good information about that?
Hi, @thelogos @John I am also looking for a workaround to use MultiSelect without Ctrl+clicking. Have you figured it out or have any progress? Thanks!
Hey @Snowl
Sorry, I haven’t really been able to find much on this.
In terms of turning Multiselects into checkboxes, there are:
- A SugarCRM Plugin: https://www.sugaroutfitters.com/addons/multienum-as-checkboxes
- As well this change noted by a user, for SugarCRM: https://github.com/bickart/SugarCRM-CheckboxMultiEnum
But I can’t confirm if either of these would currently work in SuiteCRM.
However, they may still be worth a try
Unless anyone else has come across something?
